Trash plastics collected from a beach clean-up are bound with a bio resin to create this beautiful blue and gold trash stone pendant. The pendant comes on an 18" gold filled chain.
Due to the handmade nature of this necklace and the materials used to create it, slight differences should be expected from piece to piece, and from the image shown to illustrate the jewelry. Colors may look different in person than they appear on screen. This listing is for one necklace, only. All other photos are included for size and material reference.
Trash Stone Necklace in Gold and Pale Blue Beach Plastic
These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
A portion of our proceeds are donated to environmental conservation efforts. We donate a minimum of $1,000 per year to Ocean Conservancy as part of their Business Champions for Sea Change Program. We also donate $1 to Mangrove Action Project for each package we ship. The sale of these pieces also helps to fund the direct clean-up of thousands of pieces and pounds of plastic trash, as well as helping to fund environmental education efforts.
Please see our page on sustainability for information on how you can return your old or worn out Hey Lola jewelry to us for recycling.
