We have a large collection of Remnant beads - some donated, some vintage, some from broken jewelry, and some from our own decades old stash. We took some chunky, pale pink, faux pearls from this collection and paired them with our 35mm gold filled hoops for these simple and sweet hoop earrings. In an effort to reduce waste, these earrings are made to order and might have a slightly delayed shipping time than normal.
We pair our plastics and Remnants with high quality ear wire metals like gold fill and sterling silver so that your jewelry will last longer. And if you ever decide that you've had your jewelry long enough, you can send it back to us and we'll recycle it again!
These earrings are 35 mm gold filled. Gold-filled jewelry has 100x more gold alloy than gold plated. Because that layer is so much thicker, it means gold-filled jewelry lasts longer and stands up to wear and tear better than gold plated.

Simple Hoops in Pale Pink and Gold
These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
A portion of our proceeds are donated to environmental conservation efforts. We donate a minimum of $1,000 per year to Ocean Conservancy as part of their Business Champions for Sea Change Program. We also donate $1 to Mangrove Action Project for each package we ship. The sale of these pieces also helps to fund the direct clean-up of thousands of pieces and pounds of plastic trash, as well as helping to fund environmental education efforts.
