The aqua gradient beads used for these arch earrings were created with our "dirty old balls" collection (we have a collection of toy balls that were used for dog-friendly events and were chewed to the point that they could no longer be used. And they can't be recycled via traditional means)
The earrings are nickel-free .999 fine silver plated brass, and the earrings measure approximately 1" long.
Due to the handmade nature of these earrings and the materials used to create them, slight differences should be expected from pair to pair, and from the image shown to illustrate the earrings. These are considered costume jewelry and should be kept in dry areas when not being worn (so don't keep them in the bathroom or kitchen, don't go swimming in them, don't wear them while dancing in the rain, etc.). Spraying chemicals on or near costume jewelry may speed up the "antiquing" of metal - for instance, perfumes, hair spray, make-up setting sprays.
A portion of our proceeds are donated to environmental conservation efforts. We donate a minimum of $1,000 per year to Ocean Conservancy as part of their Business Champions for Sea Change Program. We also donate $1 to Mangrove Action Project for each package we ship. The sale of these pieces also helps to fund the direct clean-up of thousands of pieces and pounds of plastic trash, as well as helping to fund environmental education efforts.
